Experience the Last Frontier
- Are you like I the type who can still lie awake at night dreaming about
that supersonic rainbow and the one that got away? If so and you
have never been to Alaska, then this may be the year to treat yourself !
I was initially attracted to this lodge because Bruce Johnson, owner of
Bristol Bay Sportfishing through 2006 with whom I have taken my previous 5
trips dating back to 1990, has been flying for the Branham's at Royal Wolf
for the past 2 years and recommends them highly. The more I have
learned about the Branham's operation, the more convinced I have become that
this trip will ranks among the best Alaska trips, and certainly among the
prime rainbow destinations ever.
Target: The main fishing pursuit here will be rainbows, and big
ones at that. From the lodge situated at the mouth of Nonvianik Lake,
where the Nonvianik River begins its flow into the world famous Kvichak
River which flows into Bristol Bay, we will fly out to the wide variety of
rivers in this region. If you want a chance to catch good-size, hard-fighting
rainbow,
enjoy beautiful scenery from the last frontier, and develop friendships
with guides and group members, you will have a great time on this trip.
Lodge: Royal Wolf Lodge is situated on a 120-acre retreat
overlooking several small lakes. It offers double occupancy cabins,
each of which includes a full bath and its own picturesque view. The
comfortable main lodge provides you with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
At the end of a day we can enjoy the camaraderie of shared experiences, an
open bar and a warm fire. The lodge has its own Finnish sauna.
Because of the short season, the guides and lodges are anxious to know our
group size, which we will cap at 6 total unless we can secure a couple more
spots. We already have two committed and two others seriously
interested, plus yours truly. If you are interested and have not told
me so, let's talk asap. Please give me a call if you do have an
interest and we can discuss additional details
with you personally.
If you have a larger party and these dates do not suit, please let me know
and I'll check with the lodge owners asap. They have a lot of dates
blocked out but some are negotiable.
