Beginner
Instruction |
FFF-certified casting Instructor Wayne Stinnette
will be teaching this class for absolute beginners.
This class will introduce beginners to the sport of Fly
Fishing. It includes but is not limited to the
following:
|
|
Equipment provided for beginner class only.
Location: Meet at shop. Location in or near Lynchburg 15
minutes from the shop. Plan your own transportation from
shop to the casting location.
Sign up here or at Angler's Lane.
Follow-up recommend: Intermediate class same day as
beginner class. After break for lunch we proceed
to Intermediate class which is on-water instruction (see
below).
|
IFFF-certified Instructor Stinnette
will continue to build on the morning lessons. You will be
exposed to more details of fly fishing in a real moving water setting
(either a location in or near Lynchburg on the James River or
Staunton River, or at
our Rivenridge at Piney
Forks, our private trout lodge in the George Washington
National Forest), depending
on which location has better water levels. You can
expect to learn how to roll cast, pile cast, reach cast, plus
how to avoid tailing loops, and will receive an introduction to
the double haul used often in saltwater or distance situations.
Plan to handle your transportation to the class. This class will be held
at same location as morning
Beginner class (required unless you have considerable prior experience).
$135 per person (includes Beginner class, Intermediate Class & gear rental).
